BLIZZA´╗┐RDS

Scientific Description

A blizzard is a storm with driving snow and high forced winds. The thing that makes blizzrads so powerful and dangerous is the reduced visibility caused by snow flying all over the place. In order to cause a blizzard you need cold air at the surface, lots of moisture and lift. The warm air must pass over the cold air. Blizzards are very dangerous and are long lasting storms that can sometimes last up to three hours. Blizzards mostly occur up north. Canada is also another blizzard 'Hot Spot". This harsh winter storm is also known as "Winter Hurricanes."
